Another wonderful family session! (On location at their new home.)

I love a good family ‘stack’.

Contemporary Portrait Photography
The sun was shining on this day at Balls Falls (which is a rare occurence for my sessions there), and I really wanted to incorporate some of the brilliant blue skies into these family portraits. My favourite is the first one though. As a cowboy boot-loving family, having a shot with all their boots lined up was meaningful; however, the inclusion of the tiger adds another layer of meaning to this photo: it is a gentle reminder of the infant (twin) brother and son that Jesus took home to be with Him. It was a touching and memorable moment in this family session.

Remember these two?

Well they’re almost One now! Seeing how babies grow and change in the first year never gets old to me; it’s simply amazing. You can really see hints of their personality in the images too.

And a Storyboard

So much fun to go back and see the triplets that I shot as newborns earlier this year. How they’ve grown! The triplet brothers are absolutely identical, while their sister is quite a bit lighter, much more mobile and more temperamental – atta girl!
Without further ado I present the Triplets at 9 months….

My past few weeks and the next few are filled with lots of family sessions. I’ve already been back to capture portraits for the triplets and twins from last year (blog posts coming soon) and I’m looking forward to several more repeat families later this month. Equally exciting is meeting all the new families that have booked sessions this month such as the family in this post. Three little boys are VERY busy but Mom and Dad seem to have no problem keeping up with them (this photographer was out of breath a few times though LOL). Here are a few portraits from our session…….
One year olds have a mind of their own……

I LOVE this image. It speaks volumes. It’s perfect that mom and Dad are laughing because I’m pretty sure that if you have 3 little boys, you have to laugh a lot (or go crazy!?!)
