Among the major milestones of life (Engagements, Anniversaries, Weddings, new Birth, Graduations etc) is TURNING ONE. That first year is so full of rapid changes and growth, not mention sleepless nights! Last year we captured Aiden’s birth HERE and a quick one year later I present him to you again, happy as ever.
This portrait is a new fave – love his expression!
Life, Beautifully Captured.

I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing the Pots in July. I knew of the Pots since we run in some mutual circles, so it was great to finally be able to meet up with them and learn more about their situation and meet their daughters. I could write about their challenges but instead I’ll cut and paste from the Pot family blog:
Please take some time to visit the family blog HERE but only after to check out the images we captured. God shone on us that evening

Janneke (16ish months) is mesmerized by her hands.

Sarah mentioned that in sign language, both girls hands are permanently fixed in the “I love you” phrase.
Thanks Ralph, Sarah and girls for a lovely evening! I love the images we captured.

A few weeks ago I asked my readers for some scripture to add to note cards I make every year. I got some fantastic suggestions and I like them all for different reasons. I have put together the ideas and now I need some help picking a great one. I need a few sets of 25 cards PLUS I’d like to order 25 cards for the winner! Please leave a comment in the blog comment section or on facebook and let me know which card you like best. On August 31st, the person that created the most popular scripture/photo combination will be declared the winner!
So take your time and admire God’s creation and be inspired by the scripture that a few of my blog followers felt inspired by…

I still clearly remember getting an email from this client telling me she was pregnant – I had only just shot her 1 year twin boys! (See that great session here). I’m sure this new sister won’t be much more work for these parents if my time with her is any indication; this baby girl was the EASIEST NEWBORN I EVER SHOT. I loved every minute spent with her – total doll. So many wonderful images – I couldn’t even decide what to use for the birth announcements…………..

The perfect night for a photoshoot – not to hot, the sun slowly setting, a great location (on a Campden farm) and an adorable couple. I loved the golden light we had, and appreciated this couples patience as I tried lots of angles and played with the light. Just love the results!
You did awesome N&C! Thanks for a great evening
