Happy 45th Anniversary!

I think Anniversaries are a great reason to get the family all together and celebrate (~~and call a professional photographer for portraits)~~ I really enjoyed my time in St. Catharines with this family. Truly fun. Does anyone look familiar?

*** Since so many people have asked me (twice today!), it’s the parents with the lovely teen daughter that were also in family photos a week prior with the other side of the family. (edited Nov 3rd)

A visit to Burgoyne Woods

I was looking forward to shooting in the Burgoyne Woods in St.Catharines when this family suggested the location. It was a new spot for me ~~(or so I thought because once I drove in I realized I had spent a 7th grade birthday party there and it was where my sister fell off her toboggan while on a GEMS outing and was hospitalized)~~ and I was just so impressed! Although it was still ‘early’ in the Fall season I loved the colour in the treeline. I thought it would make an ideal backdrop even though the we had some drizzle.

Fortunately we were able to get in lots of wonderful shots before the rain actually started coming down. I’m glad we did take a moment, umbrellas and all, to capture the special family park bench – may be my favourite image of all!

Fall is for Families

It’s been a few months since I’ve been at the Vineland research center on Victoria Ave, so it was great to get back there for a session again. The more family groups I do, the more I love them!

Dogpile! How did the only grand daughter end up on the bottom BOTH times?

It’s not always easy to capture such little ones for a portrait but so worth it when we get it. Love this shot of these two brothers.

Captured these great kids too! (Some of our favourite pool guests)

How’s Billy Henk for a nickname? Cool huh? I sure thought so. In fact, the whole session with this family was pretty cool. ‘Billy Henk’ is one of the cutest (practically) 3 year olds ever…. in fact the last portrait is so darn adorable it will have to go on my websites main page later this year.

Thanks for a great morning and session D&A! Even though we lost our ‘chicken’, it was worth it

9 Month Old Cutie

I just love to photograph babies and their families. Each family always different and each baby too! This little guy was so darling, chubby and totally fun, just like little ones should be.

This family lives in Dubai, but was visiting here in St. Catharines and contacted me for a family session. I truly enjoyed watching how he interacted with his big sisters too! His sisters were two sweeties, he’s one lucky little guy!

Beautiful Beamsville Family

I love my job, for many reasons, but the biggest reason is that I can watch families grow and change. In June I had the pleasure of photographing a large family group, it was a birthday gift for their Mother. Although I was meeting some of the families for the first time, it was the second time I worked with S&J and their boys. I am beyond excited that we were able to coordinate a session for them in June!

The other reason I love my job is that each session is unique. This family session took place on an amazing property overlooking Lake Ontario in Beamsville. This location is unique and adds to their images making them special to them. If I had to have a favourite rite moment, and trust me the entire session was fun, it was that at the end the kids got to jump in the pool with their clothes on!
