Flowers Canada – Pick Ontario Commercial Floral Shoot

As mentioned in the prior post, I had a commercial shoot for Flowers Canada – Pick Ontario. The Watering Can was the perfect back drop for all the sets created by the stylist. It was a very busy day with models coming and going, hairstylist, set-stylist, assistant and ~~(annoying)~~ graphic designer but we accomplished a great deal. While I’m not sure which images will be selected for future promotional material, I thought I would share a few images of all the lovely models I worked with and the beautiful flowers from local growers!

I’m looking forward to working with this team again! Thanks Shawn, Fabiola & models for making it so much fun! Let’s just remember to schedule the photographer a lunch break next time…

{Please Vote} Scripture Cards – Help pick a Fave!

A few weeks ago I asked my readers for some scripture to add to note cards I make every year. I got some fantastic suggestions and I like them all for different reasons. I have put together the ideas and now I need some help picking a great one. I need a few sets of 25 cards PLUS I’d like to order 25 cards for the winner! Please leave a comment in the blog comment section or on facebook and let me know which card you like best. On August 31st, the person that created the most popular scripture/photo combination will be declared the winner!

So take your time and admire God’s creation and be inspired by the scripture that a few of my blog followers felt inspired by…

A Contest — Favourite Scripture

I just love traditions and each year I get to combine two of them into one! Every year in May I go out to RBG and local orchards to photograph flowers, my Mothers day gift is that they come with me! I also create note cards from the image each year.

This year I am asking for some help in picking not only the image but a scripture that will go with the image on the card. So leave your favourite image number along with your scripture suggestion in the comments, the winner will get one package of 25 note cards featuring their selection.

Floral’s & Decor

Just sharing a few from a recent shoots. The first set of images were taken at the Queens Landing in Niagara on the Lake. Angelica from Simply Beautiful described this wedding on her blog MUCH better then I could have. Here is an excerpt from her recent blog post;

” The bride chose olive green crushed satin linens, which fit well with our chocolate brown chinaware chairs and the stunning gold napkins. The flowers for the wedding were designed by Pauline and Mandy from My Bouquet and were made up of vibrant green hydrangeas and a beautiful mixture of cream flowers. The enchanting canopy was also designed by My Bouquet, the bride and the groom sat under the canopy during the reception, with their family tables close by, I absolutely loved it!”

I loved the canopy too. Very unique!

The following beautiful wedding decor is again by Angelica and team from Simply Beautiful Decor and very talented Jennifer from Vintage Design Company. Club Italia in Niagara Falls was the venue for this wonderful combination of floral and decor talent. Champagne linens, satin napkins and the silver charger plates were beautiful alongside the stunning floral arrangements.

The backdrops provided by Simply Beautiful always blow me away;

I love it when Niagara starts blooming, so gorgeous! It makes for the perfect backdrop for a family photo session.

The floral decor in the images below were created by Pauline Vanderkuip, Mandy (the bride) and the team at My Bouquet. The ‘Simply Beautiful’ decor (IE linens) were provided by Simply Beautiful. The location was Covenant Church in St.Catharines and the reception was at The Old Court House in Niagara on the Lake.

I enjoyed a wonderful morning the other week up at Wendalane Farm. Part of the farm is dedicated to ‘God-Grown’ (organic) flowers. I love flowers, I love colour, I love shooting – needless to say I enjoyed myself (too long perhaps?).

Wedding Florals and Decor

I’ve really been enjoying my work with My Bouquet and Simply Beautiful this summer. We’ve captured some of the ~~most~~ beautiful florals ~~I have ever seen~~ and gorgeous linens and ~~elaborate~~ decor at some of the finest Niagara venues! (I will add that the owners of these businesses and their staff are the BEST people you would ever have the opportunity to work with!)

These images are from a wedding at Chateau Des Charmes in Niagara on the Lake. Florals by My Bouquet and decor by Simply Beautiful.

This wedding reception was at Inn on the Twenty in Jordan Village. Florals by My Bouquet.

Prior to the reception the ceremony took place in the vineyards at Cave Springs in Beamsville. I thought it was stunning! Total elegance!
