11 days fresh. We had a rough start, went through my sheepskin and 2 blankets before she fell asleep, but she was worth it. Even managed a few quick snaps of her big sister.

         

Thank You & Announcement Cards

I’ve been meaning to share the original images from ‘card’ shoot we did for awhile now. Natasha was 9 days old here. I received many compliments, especially on the Thank you cards we sent out. So many of the gift bags were just so nice (as were the gifts!), I wanted to somehow incorporate them into a card. My original card idea was something like ‘thanks for the gift, it was great, but the best one was from God’ LOL, but that is just a given, so I kept it simple and just ‘watermarked’ the image on the inside and wrote personal notes over top. I couldn’t bear to write on her head on the inside of any of the cards I wrote.

I should mention the fabulous LISA REICHMAN for her great design help. The front of the Thank You card is based on one of her announcement templates that I love.

We had a family meeting. We tried to narrow down the amount of pictures of her to post, I mean really… it’s pretty much the same set up in each shot. But look at that face! Such a doll! We couldn’t decide.

I know how very fortunate I am as a mother/photographer because my kids genuinely don’t mind being photographed. Look how great the kids are! I only wish I had noticed that someone’s diaper wasn’t really on correctly. UGH.  I’m quite proud of this bunch. I bet Natasha will love these photos when she’s older. (I know I’ll probably love them even more when I’m older too. LOL)

Working with Close-ups

I usually don’t get in this close but I wanted to try something new and Natasha makes the perfect subject since she is so readily available . She is only a few days old here. Note to self - skip the fuzzy blanket when doing close-ups next time.

After having a long Easter weekend off, the kids wanted to make sure they went to school with photos of their new sister. Not something I really had energy for but I couldn’t say no. I could not have imagined that my kids would fall in love with Natasha as fast as Roger and I did….

Natasha looks a bit lost with all those ‘big kids’ in that photo! LOL

We are happy to announce the birth of Natasha on Thursday, March 20.

She’s perfect.

I have been snapping tons of pictures but haven’t really had time to do anything with them yet. But I’ve had far too many inquiring emails so here is a quick shot of our lovely Natasha…

Loved this 8 day old guy - he was the pretty much the same weight and length of my last baby, so that was nice and familiar. Hard time picking faves but here’s a few….
