A New Brother

7 days fresh! He is positively angelic and his big brother seems quite pleased to with this new addition to the family. We were able to get plenty of images of him sleeping for the birth announcement – in fact I know I can’t decide which I like best!

What a beautiful baby! She was the perfect model for my new hat from Irma at Prairie Blossom Boutique on Etsy. I had a nice long visit with these first time parents. They are positively over the moon with their new daughter.

I have never met a newborn I didn’t like – however there are newborns who don’t like me I’ve been around for awhile though and I know that I can outlast a newborn – eventually they will sleep!

Totally worth it eh?

A little Banana

Miss “C” is one of my banana newborns. Nice and bendy (7 days fresh) and jaundice (yellow). Does this affect the ubber cuteness and perfection of a newborn? No chance. Just look at these wonderful pics….

Twins Boys

I have once again had the good fortune of shooting newborn twins! A little trickier to get both boys to settle at the same time during this session, but sometimes you only need a split second to capture a great portrait (even if you cheated to get someone’s eyes to close )

Sweet peas…

I’d loved this photo for mom and dad’s expressions… I can just imagine some of the thoughts that run through their mind as they get used to the new family additions… ‘lucky’, ‘crazy’, ‘blessed’, ‘help’ – at least their still smiling

Two Brothers

How adorable are these two? I recently met these boys when I needed someone to practice some new lighting techniques on (great timing mom). My newborn model was great, but his big brother was an unexpected bonus for me. He was very friendly and happy to pose for me. Here’s a few of my favourites;

Personally, I’m very happy one of these isn’t under the tree for me LOL However, I happen to know that this little girls parents are very happy she’s here. Exciting that they will have this first Christmas as parents. She was a total sweetie, makes me laugh that we couldn’t get her mouth closed for several shots, still cute though!

I can never resist pulling out my wide angle lens…

One sweet sleepy baby and one cute stinker who made us use all our tricks . In the end it worked out very well as we captured some wonderful images!

Mini Missionary

These proud new parents are Missionaries in Nigeria. They came back to Grimsby to have their son. We used a traditional ‘Nigerian Yam Pot’ for a few of our images and while I think that’s pretty cool, my favourite is the first image; no big props, no hat, just a beautiful little 6 day old face……

Well they’re almost One now! Seeing how babies grow and change in the first year never gets old to me; it’s simply amazing. You can really see hints of their personality in the images too.
