My Anniversary Dinner

We celebrated our wedding anniversary last month . It was an amazing event, we had a personal chef from The Heat is On Catering come to our home and cook for us and two other couples (who are wonderful friends).

James came to our house, brought cutlery and plates – The only thing I had to do was provide the linens and the wine, he cooked the meal while we relaxed out on the deck.

The menu was fantastic.

Starters:
Chicken or Vegetable spring rolls with sweet & sour dipping sauce
Feta Bruschetta

Salads
Oriental salad of mixed greens, nappa cabbage, carrots, bamboo shoots, cucumber, tomatoes and crisp egg noodles tossed in sesame dressing

Diamond Dinner Entrées Menu
Grilled Beef Tenderloin
Smoked Tomato Relish
Rosemary roasted Potatoes and Chevre Cream Sauce

The evening was fantastic! Great food and company and the best part was that I got to spend it relaxing and enjoying the company of our guests. A highly recommended experience!

On the first day of Spring, Natasha turned two. Hard to believe how the time has flown and how much she’s grown. She is so special. We love this kid like crazy….

Happy Birthday to our wonderful little girl. She completely changed our lives.. for the better of course!

Things may look like they have been quiet around here, but behind the scenes there has been a buzz of activity. I finally had an opportunity to redo and update the galleries on my WEBSITE. If you haven’t seen my galleries recently, make sure you visit. Some of the best looking people in Niagara/Halton are in there! For 2010 I’ve challenged myself to do a small number of weddings. In the past I’ve always referred Wedding requests to other photographers, but my experiences with weddings last year was so wonderful, I want to do it again! Click on the image below to see earlier blog posts of 2009 weddings and couples.

I really enjoyed the time off during the holidays and taking the time in January to complete some projects that have been waiting far too long but now I’m ready and very excited about my upcoming sessions and getting back into shooting! Newborns, families, a winter wedding and even a maternity are booked in the next few months. I’m excited for what 2010 holds………..

A Toddler amongst us

You know you are living with a toddler when:

you think a bum is cute….

you admire little shoes and then actually buy them …

you’re always lending a hand (or finger) …

you are always on your toes (ESPECAILLY when they are)…

watching a game of fetch is actually entertaining..

you see old things through new eyes again…

and again….

an old borrowed toy that entertains for 40 minutes feels like a (another) gift from heaven…

you take the extra, extra, extra long way home even with ice cream in the trunk….

you tell your teenage daughter to keep applying MORE make-up …

your heart overflows with joy OFTEN ….

Last month I spent a few days in Landis, Saskatchewan to surprise a good friend… she was totally shocked! We had a great time catching up and visiting. We spent some time roaming the prairies and the farmlands. Talk about Rural….
