Elegant Wedding – Feature

Sometimes the most amazing things happen when you least expect them. This month some of my wedding images were featured in an article in Elegant Weddings and as part of an ad for some of the wedding vendors I work with in Wedluxe.  It is always exciting to see my work in print, it just makes me smile to see all the hard work by myself and others shared with so many.

The ad in Wedluxe featured images taken for both My Bouquet, a wonderful florist here in Niagara and Simply Beautiful Decor, both are vendors I work with frequently, in the Niagara area.  The images selected for the ad in Wedluxe were from Nicole’s wedding. It was a wonderful event and so elegant with the white and gold.

The feature in Elegant Weddings also paired my photography with floral design by My Bouquet and the Decor from Simply Beautiful Decor.  The images used for the add and feature in Elegant Weddings were from Mandys’ wedding, such rich and beautiful colours for a fall/winter wedding and so fun to photograph.

Floral’s & Decor

Just sharing a few from a recent shoots. The first set of images were taken at the Queens Landing in Niagara on the Lake. Angelica from Simply Beautiful described this wedding on her blog MUCH better then I could have. Here is an excerpt from her recent blog post;

” The bride chose olive green crushed satin linens, which fit well with our chocolate brown chinaware chairs and the stunning gold napkins. The flowers for the wedding were designed by Pauline and Mandy from My Bouquet  and were made up of vibrant green hydrangeas and a beautiful mixture of cream flowers.  The enchanting canopy was also designed by My Bouquet, the bride and the groom sat under the canopy during the reception, with their family tables close by, I absolutely loved it!”

I loved the canopy too. Very unique!

  

The following beautiful wedding decor is again by Angelica and team from Simply Beautiful Decor and very talented Jennifer from Vintage Design Company. Club Italia in Niagara Falls was the venue for this wonderful combination of floral and decor talent. Champagne linens, satin napkins and the silver charger plates were beautiful alongside the stunning floral arrangements.

Mandy & Tim’s Wedding

In late February Sarah Goblot came down from Montreal to shoot this wonderful winter wedding in Niagara on on the Lake at the Court House with me. It was pretty exciting being apart of winter wedding and shooting Mandy on her big day (well Tim too). I must tell you that Mandy is a SUPER big sweetheart and I love her for being so photogenic! She makes all images look good and Tim too LOL    Here are a few of my favourite images from their day.

February 27th Wedding – Florals & Decor

The following images are from the wedding I recently shot. When you have such stunning florals and decor – it gets its own blog post! The floral decor in the images below were created by Pauline Vanderkuip, Mandy (the bride) and the team at My Bouquet. The ‘Simply Beautiful’ decor (IE linens) were provided by Simply Beautiful.  The location was Covenant Church in St.Catharines and the reception was at The Old Court House in Niagara on the Lake.

Wedding Products

I was so excited to receive the custom wedding album from Nicole and Markus’ Wedding. These images don’t do this album justice. The colour is yummy perfection (not on this post though). The construction and quality is hard to capture here on the web, but trust me, it’s simply STUNNING. It was hard passing this over to the bride but I will bring in more samples to have on hand. I’m just so impressed with the album.

We took one of the best portraits and created the cover……..

  

Then inside, we told the story of this special day. The album is 12×12 and made with Italian leather. The pages are not photo paper or magazine like but much thicker (this is where I have to email my album maker to get details). When open, the album lays completely flush. The binding is flawless.

 

The following are samples of some of the album pages. My style is simple and clean. These are the 12×24 spreads, so you are looking at 7 examples of the left page and right page. I hope that makes sense?

 

and I thought it would finally share the 5×7 custom cards created last summer. Two styles since we could not decide on a favourite wedding portrait. (These pictures were not shared in the original wedding post since we wanted ‘save’ them for the cards.)

John Michaels/Simply Beautiful Decor

I was pleasently surprisd when I arrived at John Michaels Banquet Hall in Thorold – the wedding decor and hall looked amazing! Angelica and the team at Simply Beautiful Decor took care of most of the decor seen here. From the chairs to the candle holders on the head tables, no detail overlooked! Every chari tied, every draping draped perfectly. The staff at John Michaels were busy with the food while I was there, and let me tell you – it was a FEAST from what I saw. I wish I could have stayed to admire the decor and enjoy for food for the whole evening…. I’m sure all the 350+ guests at this wedding did!

 

 

 

  

Wedding Florals and Decor

I’ve really been enjoying my work with My Bouquet and Simply Beautiful this summer. We’ve captured some of the most beautiful florals I have ever seen and gorgeous linens and elaborate decor at some of the finest Niagara venues! (I will add that the owners of these businesses and their staff are the BEST people you would ever have the opportunity to work with!)

These images are from a wedding at Chateau Des Charmes in Niagara on the Lake. Florals by My Bouquet and decor by Simply Beautiful.

 

This wedding reception was at Inn on the Twenty in Jordan Village. Florals by My Bouquet.

 

Prior to the reception the ceremony took place in the vineyards at Cave Springs in Beamsville. I thought it was stunning! Total elegance!
