Cassie & Justin ~ Married!

My first post of 2012 is the last wedding I shot in 2011. Our day started at Mom and Dad’s in Wainfleet, followed by the ceremony in Fenwick and then to Marshville for wedding pics (what a great location!) Lucky for us the weather was favourable (again for November) AND it was a very photogenic crowd A few more pics then I usually show – but Cassie has been patiently waiting a bit too long. Elissa & Brad ~ Married!

This past November I had the pleasure of shooting two weddings; Elissa and Brad’s was the first. Days are short in November but our schedule worked out well as did our location! The formals were taken at Penninsula Ridge in Beamsville and made for a stunning backdrop for this couple. Things move fast on the wedding day, that’s why I always love sharing the photos. For the bride and groom the day especially whizzes by, making it even more special to share so many wonderful moments and fabulous pictures of this loving couple.

Such a wonderful day Brad & Elissa – you guys a a beautiful couple inside and out! Thanks for choosing me to capture these timeless moments (and Groomsmen being way to cool LOL)

Amanda & Carl’s Wedding

Back in September Amanda and Carl made a promise and exchanged vows. Ideally it wouldn’t have rained all day, but really, in the end, it didn’t matter. The Bride was still stunning, the flowers beautiful (Fleurish Design Studio), the venue wonderful (Inn on the Twenty) and all the details perfected. With the rain (and even though we had challenges), it was a great experience. Amanda is a huge sweetheart and Carl is such a nice guy! They make a great couple. LeeAnn & Scott ~ Married

I’m behind on blogging – this post is much overdue! This (really awesome) wedding was back at the beginning of July. The locations were all fantastic; Covenant Church in St.Catharine’s (I was married there), Decew for photos and The Stone Mill (Johnny Rocco’s) for the reception. Another highlight was working with My Bouquet again. Stunning floral’s! (You can view more floral’s from this wedding on the blog HERE.) Hair and make-up was done by Allure Hair and Makeup (LeeAnn’s hair was looked amazing!) The floral’s, decor and every detail suited LeeAnn and Scott to a ‘T’. Aside from the locations, decor, dress, etc the day was really about two authentic people committing their lives to eachother with the blessing of their (really terrific) families and friends. A great crowd to spend a day with.

Thanks you two for allowing me to share your day. I LOVED it. You make me want to book lots more weddings!

Carrie & Jordan ~ Married!

A wonderful June wedding! I had a great time at this wedding. A real highlight of the day was the grooms singing! Not just singing in the shower singing, but “someone should sign this guy to a label” kinda singing. Jordan wrote and sang an amazing song for Carrie at the reception. His voice is really soulful and reminded me of Creeds lead singer Scott Stapp. It was great and truly unique. This wedding also had wonderful weather, great people, an awesome venue and was just an all around good time. Another wonderful couple joyfully wed and I’m so thankful to have been a part of it.

My assistant Christina and I had a great time with this easy going bride and ‘animated’ groom! LOL Our adventures of the day included photos in a greenhouse, at a bowling ally, among random roadside tall grass and then to Carmen’s Banquet Hall in Hamilton for the ceremony and dinner.

Thanks I&D for a memorable wedding. You guys make a great couple!

The Farmer takes a Wife

Another memorable wedding! One of my favourite things about this wedding was how the bride incorporated the wheat in her bouquet. I also enjoyed that we were able to capture a lot about this couples personality but using their own farm tractor and rural locations for our photoshoot. We truly captured who they are.

Winter Wedding

It was such a pleasure to shoot this wedding last month. Truly awesome to break up what has seemed like a long winter plus spend some time with good people! Everything about the day was memorable from the vows to the speeches. It was a pleasure to be a witness and capture such great moments (including use of my pen for signing of the register/licence ). Big thanks to my assistant Christina who was the cherry on top of this day for me.

Lindsay & Joe’s Wedding

Last month I had the great pleasure of shooting Lindsay & Joe’s wedding. What a wonderful day we had! The bride was stunning, the groom ever-handsome and the locations…….. TO DIE FOR. I had never been at Ridley College let alone the Chapel – it was STUNNING. I loved being able to shoot inside and around the grounds. Although I’m not sure if the bride and groom noticed – but we were running out of time so there was debate as to whether we would make the next location. We did and as you will see from the images below, it was well worth the 7 minutes we spent there! (Yes SEVEN minutes, I checked the time codes twice). Lots of wonderful images and moments captured from this wonderful wedding……..

Elegant Wedding – Feature

Sometimes the most amazing things happen when you least expect them. This month some of my wedding images were featured in an article in Elegant Weddings and as part of an ad for some of the wedding vendors I work with in Wedluxe. It is always exciting to see my work in print, it just makes me smile to see all the hard work by myself and others shared with so many.

The ad in Wedluxe featured images taken for both My Bouquet, a wonderful florist here in Niagara and Simply Beautiful Decor, both are vendors I work with frequently, in the Niagara area. The images selected for the ad in Wedluxe were from Nicole’s wedding. It was a wonderful event and so elegant with the white and gold.

The feature in Elegant Weddings also paired my photography with floral design by My Bouquet and the Decor from Simply Beautiful Decor. The images used for the add and feature in Elegant Weddings were from Mandys’ wedding, such rich and beautiful colours for a fall/winter wedding and so fun to photograph.
