My first post of 2012 is the last wedding I shot in 2011. Our day started at Mom and Dad’s in Wainfleet, followed by the ceremony in Fenwick and then to Marshville for wedding pics (what a great location!) Lucky for us the weather was favourable (again for November) AND it was a very photogenic crowd
A few more pics then I usually show – but Cassie has been patiently waiting a bit too long. Be sure to check facebook and the website for their wedding albums!

Congrats you two, thanks for a wonderful day. Turned out great eh!?!?!?

This past November I had the pleasure of shooting two weddings; Elissa and Brad’s was the first. Days are short in November but our schedule worked out well as did our location! The formals were taken at Penninsula Ridge in Beamsville and made for a stunning backdrop for this couple. Things move fast on the wedding day, that’s why I always love sharing the photos. For the bride and groom the day especially whizzes by, making it even more special to share so many wonderful moments and fabulous pictures of this loving couple.

Such a wonderful day Brad & Elissa – you guys a a beautiful couple inside and out! Thanks for choosing me to capture these timeless moments (and Groomsmen being way to cool LOL)

Many of you will recognize my friend (and 2nd shooter at weddings). Christina works tirelessly with me all year long just so I can shoot her annual family photo. It’s not easy to ‘out do’ the prior years photos, but this year we had some really exceptional golden light. Love how these turned out. Which one should she blow up as a big canvas?

Shortly after I arrived at this session, we got a little home tour. In big sisters room were her newborn photos (taken by me) and it struck me how I could easily tell in her newborn photos that it was her. It was also evident to me how her new little sister Aspen doesn’t look anything like her as newborn. Long before I had my own children, I thought newborns all looked the same – like little monkeys LOL – but after maturing (just a tiny bit) I now clearly see how each and every new baby is so unique. Aspen is no different. Each child of God is so special and such a blessing and gift. The plan God has for her life is that of no other human being. He has carefully chosen her eye colour, bone structure, personality – everything all ready in place. Amazing. I think this every single time I see, hold and/or shoot a newborn.
Do you find I’m getting a little ‘preachy’ with my blog post? Well I can’t help myself, Aspen is the newest addition to my “preachers” family! Pastor Roeda is the youth pastor at my Church. I need to stay on his good books
Oh one more thing that is very unique to Aspen. Her Grandma crocheted her pink hat and diaper cover! How wonderful is that??!

Had a wonderful family photo session with this family. I thought the barn interior made a great backdrop for these dairy farmers. Definitely unique!

Thanks for having me out C, M and kids. I really truly enjoyed it! You just may find me back again to shoot #185 (or was it #165?) and friends…

It’s important to take pictures of the kids – they seem to grow and change so fast! It’s not the first time I’ve shot the children below (and it better not be the last) and I can’t help but think how much they have changed while I look the exact same a year later!?!?!?! LOL Always a pleasure to have these families in front of my lens…..

Mom wasn’t the only one who had a hard time picking favourites from this session – I could not decide which to blog! We had a great location, superb weather plus everyone looked great and they all managed to laugh at my jokes. Ha. We did have fun and mom now has lots of wonderful portraits to hang in the new home…..
